  • Gain greater awareness of an issue; feel encouraged to take action.
  • Engage fellow parliamentarians and caucus members, encouraging them to take action and/or advocate for change with Federal Minister of Health, provincial/territorial Ministers of Health and in the media.  

Federal Minister of Health

  • Collaborate with provinces and territories to ensure cost coverage of Mifegymiso through insurance plans.
  • Withhold health transfer to provinces failing to ensure accessibility (including absence of financial barriers) of Mifegymiso.
  • Establish a federal program to cover all costs associated with Mifegymiso as part of a national pharmacare strategy.
  • Ease restrictions currently associated with Mifegymiso. 

Provincial and Territorial Ministers of Health


MEMBERS OF PROVINCIAL or TERRITORIAL PARLIAMENTS

  • Establish a program to ensure cost coverage of Mifegymiso in provincial/territorial insurance plan, with special coverage for those who do not have provincial/territorial health insurance.
  • Gain greater awareness of an issue; feel encouraged to take action.
